How to jailbreak your ipad, iphone, apple t.v or iPods on operating Ios 4.3 using Sn0wbreeze 2.3 beta

Sn0wbreeze 2.3 beta 1 is out and it jailbreaks iOS 4.3 without updating the baseband. Following is the guide to jailbreak iOS 4.3 with Sn0wbreeze 2.3 beta.

iH8sn0w has just released Sn0wbreeze 2.3, a jailbreak tool that is compatible with iOS 4.3 on the iphone, iPad and iPod Touch. Sn0wbreeze 2.3 will let you jailbreak iOS 4.3 on a Windows machine, and it is a tethered jailbreak.

You have to use the inbuilt tool iBooty to boot the device to tethered jailbreak mode after the jailbreak.

All those who just need a iOS 4.3 jailbreak can now download Sn0wbreeze 2.3 and create a custom IPSW file to jailbreak their idevices.

Currently there is a tedious method to jailbreak iOS 4.3 on Mac OS with PwnageTool bundles.

The jailbreak method with Sn0wbreeze 2.3 is simple and self explanatory.

You need to download original iOS 4.3 IPSW file for your iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad.

Then execute Snowbreeze 2.3 and create a custom firmware file using on screen instructions.

Restore the resulting iOS 4.3 IPSW file to your idevice using iTunes.

After restore, you have to use iBooty( will be present in your desktop after jailbreak) to boot your device into the tethered jailbreak mode.

This is the initial (beta 1) version of sn0wbreeze 2.3. The Mobile Substrate add-on in Cydia doesn’t work with Sn0wbreeze 2.3b1 and therefore, it may not be possible to run winterboard themes and some other related third party applications that interfere with Springboard. Ultrasn0w is currently not working in iOS 4.3 so those who rely on a carrier unlock should stay away from using Sn0wbreeze 2.3b1.

How to jailbreak

1. Download and install the latest version of iTunes if you haven’t.
2. Download iOS 4.3, download links are available here:
3. Download sn0wbreeze 2.3 beta and run it. [Download link]

4. In IPSW selection window, browse for the downloaded iOS 4.3 firmware file and click next.

5. Sn0wbreeze will verify the iOS and will notify you when it’s verified.

6. Click next and select “expert mode” and then click next again.

7. Now select Build ISPW and click next.

8. Sn0wbreeze will now modify your firmware and when it is done, your firmware is jailbroken and ready to be restored.

9. Enter the DFU mode by following the steps shown by Sn0wbreeze, this is to verify if the steps you have performed were successful. If everything get’s done right you will get this message: “Your device is now in a PWNED DFU state…”

10. Run iTunes and restore your device to the modified iOS 4.3 firmware by holding Shift Key (Windows), Clicking restore and browsing the modified iOS 4.3 firmware file

11. Making the jailbreak tethered

12. There is one more final step that you have to do. use iBooty to make this jailbreak tethered with the following steps:

13. - iBooty is extracted on your desktop when you use sn0wbreeze to create your custom ispw file.

14. - Run iBooty, hit the start button and follow the instructions to enter your device to DFU mode.

15. - When your device enters DFU mode, iBooty will do rest of the work and your device will boot to the tethered jailbroken mode
